Figuring out how to automate away the pain of routine front-end web testing; the story behind

211 posts covering the initial idea, growth of the service, features, advances, failures and successes.

Our second updates newsletter went out today.

Highlights from this week:

  • Introduced details on our HTTP client library, part two point one in a series on opensource libraries we've developed to support the service

  • Completed development of the test job initialiser: the core application will accept a new test job, identify URLs to be tested and will create a collection of test tasks to later be assigned to available workers

  • Began development of workers to carry out the actual tests

  • Reworked our unit and functional test system to improve performance of our unit tests, reducing average unit test time from 4.7 to 0.6 seconds

Expect the next in a week from now, August 8 2012.
